I have been deceived by these squandered opportunities.
These things that I loved, slipped through my hands, falling apart with every grain of sand.
In my disbelief, I feel my passion turn into disease and each word I speak makes my lungs erode like autumn leaves.
In myself I find no comfort, In myself I find no peace, I can’t stop the rage inside and I cant let go of my grief
Forever longing to feel acceptance, forever feeling incomplete, I can’t look myself in the mirror when all I hate stares back at me.
I shut myself away from the world, just so that I can never see, the sunlight shed on all my failures, preventing shame from finding me.
