lyrics

I can't keep it in no more, can't sit back while my city falls, to the greed of man, poisoning us all, time slipping away while we mourn.

Mourning for the working man, mourning for the creative, How can I stand idle while they sell away their heritage?

How do sleep when they face eviction? How do you sleep when they have no voice? No compassion, just the highest bidder, the only person with any choice

Why do they have no choice?

The city hangs on razors edge, profit over population, a game who's allegiance you only pledge.

And what will become of them? Did you give it any thought? Feel the shame brought upon you, as nations lights their pitchforks

That's not a thought I want plaguing my anxious mind, we have to say "forever", we have to stand up and fight.

Change is brought if we fight, attitudes torn asunder, we need to stand and fight.

I won't sit by and watch it crumble, I won't sit by and watch it fall, I won't let this beast consume us, I won't sit by as it grows, grows, grows

Mark a cross on every house,
there's no hope for you here, your city lies asunder, heed the warning if you dare.
